My Little White Skirt

  • When I started this journey, there was a white pencil skirt in my closet that I loved but could not fit into. It was new and still had the tags, I had bought it months ago with the hopes of someday being able to wear it.

At the beginning of week one I tried the skirt on. Not only could I not zip it but my bulging belly showed. At that time I told myself that when I could slip into the skirt, I would be at my goal weight. Wasn't sure that goal would be but knew that, if it fit nice then I would be there.

Today, I wore that skirt to work and received lots of compliments on how nice it looked. Actually, the waist is now a little loose.

When I get weighed this week, I will be at goal. I don't know what the number will be but it is GOAL. Time to move to phase 3.

Thank you for all of the support on the board.

  • Makes perfect sense to me! Congratulatins!
  • This post almost made me cry. Love that you didn't need a number on a scale to know when you were at goal! Congratulations!
  • Thank you for the kind words, am really trying not to get hung up on the number but instead on how I feel. Example, this weekend I ate terrible and today my body is telling me that it was a very bad idea!! Not only is the number on the scale up but also the way that I feel.

While my goal is 135, have come to realize that I am happy anywhere between 133 - 137. And yes, the little white skirt fits perfect within that span.

Listening to our bodies and deciding that it is OK to like what we see in the mirror is hard for many of us. That little white skirt is my tool for keeping my eating in check!!
