  • My thought to those of you in Boston and anyone who had a runner in today's race.

    So much hatred.
    So much heartbreak.

May we all be safe and loved.
  • Well said, Lisa.

My thoughts and sympathy to all affected by this horrible tragedy.
  • Such a tragedy.....breaks my heart
  • So many people were posting excited messages on FB, etc about participating in the marathon today. I pray that they are all well and safe and that all of the families and friends will be safe and all together soon.
  • What a sad day. My thoughts are with all of those involved.
  • So horrible. I've been off the computer for much of the afternoon and am just catching up and am sick at the news. Very sad.
  • My hope is that they find the person(s) involved very quickly, and nothing else happens in the coming weeks.

Such a sad ending for so many families.
  • As bad as it was, I am grateful that they found the other explosives before they detonated. I agree that the hopefully the responsible party is brought to justice quickly.
  • So awful... Many friends and family were in Boston. My brother and sister-in-law work about a block away..... My dads office is on Stuart st. which is a block awAy.... I have felt sick all night. My family is fine. took a while to get in
touch but finally did. my bro has run the last three years. glad he was too tied up with my niece this year. i posted in another thread tonight and felt awkward afterwards and deleted it. Glad there is a thread dedicated to this.... I don't know how I am going to sleep tonight....
  • Boston: hoping to an end to this manhunt!
  • We are breathing again. The suspect #2 is in custody and alive. He was apprehended in Watertown (just outside of Boston). They also arrested three people from an apartment near my house in New Bedford, who he apparently spent a lot of time with and shared a cell phone bill with. It's been a scary day in Boston and New Bedford/Dartmouth, but the law enforcement has been amazing keeping things under control and getting the job done.
  • Absolutely amazing! I've been hearing rumors of a duck boat rally for all the first responders, would be fitting!!
  • My prayers to all. PEACE.
  • The kind words have been wonderful. Although I wasn't at the marathon a friend of mine finished three minutes before the bomb. Thank god they got them!
