Day 3 and up one pound???

  • This is the second time I have done IP. I did it last summer and had wonderful success. Since then I have gained some back so I started IP again on Tuesday. This morning I am up 1lb from where I started on Tuesday morning...has anyone else experienced this???
  • I wouldn't worry about it. There's a reason it's good to weigh yourself only once a week

    Our bodies can hold a lot of extra water. As it's only your 3rd day, and your body has this big change happening and has to adjust to it, I really wouldn't think anything of it.

    If you're on (or close to) your TOM that can be a big thing too....I know the week of mine, I tend to hold A LOT of extra water, but it all goes away the following week.

    Don't be discouraged! You've been on this journey before, so you know it works .
  • Happens all the time...which is why we should weigh ourselves once per week on the same scale.

    Many things cause our weight to fluctuate daily (salt, water, what we ate, bathroom issues, TOM, etc.)
  • I started again in Jan and am now getting back on track after some issues a few weeks ago and purposely didn't weigh today as I've had 2 good days and know that today would have discouraged me. I will weigh on Friday only to keep me on track for the weekend. After Monday morning (after I see the "1st" week) loss, I will have my hubby just tell me up or down from the previous week from now on. I read about that on here a couple of days ago and think that is the best thing for my neurotic tendencies with my weight. I unfortunately take the number to heart and it can ruin my day and the last "10" sounds like it is the hardest to lose. The first time I did IP, I quit early b/c I couldn't handle the 0.6 losses a week but I want to hit goal this time around.
