New, starting metabolism miracle Monday

  • Just a little about me, I'm Jessica from pa. I recently found out I have insulin resistance and need to change my eating to low carb. I am about 20 pounds overweight.

Any advice or tips would be great. Also how do you get one of those weight tracker things at the bottom of people's posts?

  • You have to be here more than 20 days and have more than 20 posts before you can add a weight tracker.

Good luck with your weight loss.
  • Welcome and good luck on your journey!!
  • I plan on doing 10 min trainer and walking for exercise and the metabolism miracle diet.
  • to you!

I wish you a happy journey to being healthy and at your personal ideal weight and that you can find the right foods that your body and your taste buds will enjoy.

  • Welcome!
  • I am insulin resistant also. I have PCOS. I just started to not eat white stuff..no sugar, flour or rice. So far it isn't too bad, but I still crave everything. Some say it takes at least 3 weeks to change a habit.
  • my husband and I started metabolism miracle in September and we've both lost over 35 lbs without excercising as much as we should!! And we feel AMAZING!! cant even imagine eating how i used to eat its crazy!!! Good luck and if you want i have lots of recipes!!

My mom went on a no white diet and she lost a ton of weight. Not to mention the fact that she is in her late 50s. She did it as part of a "biggest loser" contest at work! She won $500 for losing the most!! It's a hard diet to maintain and she's gained some of the weight back since the competition is over, but she's looking into ways to maintain the weight loss that are a little more livable. Me, I'd like to find something to get rid of the weight, then experiment with a livable maintenance plan. It does seem like a healthy diet, since all of that white stuff is processed! Good luck to you!
