It's been about 4 months since my last labs when my A1C was 10, yikes! Today, after losing 30 pounds doing low-carb my A1C was 5.7!!!!!

I was so excited to hear that!!! I've got a long way to go with my weight loss but it's very rewarding to know that my hard work is paying off and my body is getting healthier inside & out!

I just started induction today. I am doing the original Atkins '72. I see my doctor next month for my A1c. I think this is the only way to go. I am so happy for you.

WoW ! That is fabulous !!!

I'm not on Atkins, but doing a lower carb diet and I did similarly with my A1C with diet and exercise alone.

I was SOOOO glad my doctor gave me a chance to take care of my blood sugar/insulin resistance issues the natural way before sticking me on meds.

GOod for you! Now if more people would just REALIZE the huge role diet and exercise plays, less would be dependent on diabetes drugs.

Thanks all! And I forgot to mention my fasting blood sugar went from 300 (gasp!!!) to 117!! Very very happy!!
