You may want to clarify what you are talking about - do you mean the Ideal Protein Alternative Protocol (for people with diabetes or hypoglycemia), or using alternative products but following the IP protocol?
yes its the alternative protocol, no health issues but was sujjested to change it up instead of phrase 1....I did hear from a friend she lost more eating this way than regular phrase 1, was wondering your thoughts.....
I am actually going to start the alternative protocol this week. Have been on p1 since September and I'm wanting to work out more and have some more energy so I'm going to give it a few weeks and see how it goes.
Yes, that's the plan designed for diabetics. It is higher in calories, and does not put you in ketosis, but is still a restrictive, controlled diet that will let you lose weight. Folks who don't respond well to the regular Phase 1 diet may see that the diabetic protocol works better for their bodies.
