Just saying hi

  • Hey..it's me...the new Julie

    Old Julie lied to herself about how she could just "eat one", splurge a little because the sun came out, have cake because it was somebody else's birthday..what would it hurt?

    New Julie can't lie anymore.

    I'm 54, starting to get aches in the knees and painful plantar fasciitis, it's either head for the wheelchair or head for the gym. I chose the gym and for the last two weeks I have been swimming every morning and eating healthy. It's going to take a lot longer than two weeks. That's ok. Glad I have found this site to help me along the way, and help back by being a good example.

    I look forward to getting to know you 3 fat (and shrinking) chicks!

    Swimming is awesome exercise, especially if you have body aches. Definitely keep doing it

  • Starting out is the hardest. Swimming is great exercise for beginners and for those with painful movement. Good luck on your weight loss journey.
  • Hi Julie! I'm 44 and also feel like I am headed to the wheelchair or the gym. I too chose the gym. Been going for 3 weeks and although I don't love it yet I am doing it! I look forward to getting to know you! good luck!
