re...re....re....returning!!

  • Notice all those re's? It's because I'm back...again. And once again I'm left asking myself, why I ever leave in the first place. Losing the weight, all over again. How many times do I have to lose the same 20 lbs, before my brain gets it? lol

So, heavier and unhealthier than ever before! Shoot! I was watching the Biggest Loser the other night (atleast I wasn't eating cheetos this time) and Dr. H was telling one of the contestants he was diabetic and all that jazz. But he said something else that REALLY struck a chord with me. He said, "if you had leukemia, would you make the time to do your 2 hour treatments?". BOOM!! I was just thinking....DUH, JESSICA!!!! Get it together....you are obese....obesity is a disease! You can fix it...without medicine...without a doctor....so what in the world are you waiting for??!!??

So yeah, you ladies are my treatment plan for my illness! I gotta fix this before it really does give me a disease I can't fix on my own!
  • Dr Jekel at your service lol. Jess we all need that AH HA moment and it looks like you had yours! One day, one pound at a time. No one wakes up 50 pounds heavier than the day before. So we need to be realistic with our time frames for losining weight. You absolutely can do this and you got a great support system here. With no one barking at you like Jillian does
  • darn...I think I might need a Jillian! ha ha Thanks Dr. Jekel!!
  • Wow, that's a great way to say it....using the leukemia comparison (although harsh!). Welcome back, and hope you hang with us a while .
  • Welcome back.
  • I agree Twynn....harsh...but that's what I needed. Obesity is not something I should take lightly, just like leukemia isn't...or any other deadly disease for that matter. So, if harsh is what wakes me up...then I'll take it.
  • back!
  • Welcome back!
  • I hear you. Re- re- re- re- re???-turning myself.

Let's make the time for our "treatment"
  • Welcome back
I had that aha moment during christmas when I was eating alot sweets lately and my mom told me it's okay to eat a bit extra during the holidays but if you keep this up, you're going to end up with diabetes like your dad and just think about how hard that is. Really got me thinking and it's been two weeks since I touched anything sweet haha
Anyways, good luck! One step at a time. You can do this !
