Sweets question

  • In phase 1 For your dessert after dinner do you eat it with dinner or later in the evening? also, would it be ok to have sugar free jello for a snack during the day or with lunch and still have a dessert/snack later in the evening?
  • If I remember right the sugar free jello is only okay for Phase II and onward b/c of the thickeners. I may be wrong on that, though.
  • on the allowed food sheet it says it is ok...but wasn't sure about it for more than one in a day....

  • Pretty sure Sugar Free Jello is a freebie. In phase 1, I ate it three times a day. Altogether, it was only 30 calories!
  • Sugar Free Pudding is for phase 2 and onwards because of the thickeners.
  • You should limit yourself to 50 cals of "sweets" a day. Sometimes, I have two myself since it's about 10 calories or so a serving.
  • Oh heck, I meant the pudding. I always assume pudding when people say jello simply b/c I don't eat actual "jello." LOL Sorry!!!

    Also, I thought sweet treats were 75 calories per day???
  • It may have gone up since I last read the book or I could be making 50 up for my own sake, . I gave it away to a friend so I can't look it up.
