  • Saturday evening I was with my best friend and we were talking about our weight loss plans, since I was starting IP the next day. I had seen a few people talk about rewarding themselves when they reached a certain goal. I talked this over with my friend and she thought it was great idea. I have never done this whenever I tried to lose weight and thought it might be some great motivation so this afternoon I made my reward list I broke my weight loss goals in increments of 25 that way I think it will be more attainable the bigger the loss the bigger the reward!

Do you have a goal list, if so what's on it? Do you think it's a good idea to reward yourself for weight loss?

    Here is my reward list:

    starting weight 307

    mini-goal #1 GW :275 Reward: Movies (I don't go very often)

mini-goal #2 GW: 250 Reward: Mani - Pedi (hopefully it will be getting warmer and I can show off my shrinking size and be pretty doing it!)

    mini-goal #3 GW: 225 MASSAGE

mini-goal #4 GW: 200 New Hair style and/or New Makeup

mini-goal #5 GW: 185 COMPLETE MAKE OVER (Final Goal!)
  • Those all sound like great rewards! I haven't set up any rewards for myself, but it seems like its a good motivator. You're really pretty!
  • Sounds like a great idea and much better than rewarding with food! I should make a rewards list for myself...a massage will be top of my list! I love massages, but I'm too self conscious to go and get one right now... don't want someone poking at my back fat hehe
  • Those sound great! I looove getting my nails done, it is addictive! lol

Thank you so much for your compliment!

I definitely understand that! lol That's one of the reasons I put a massage later on the list! hehe
  • I'm not too sure yet. But here is the start:

    160: good blender!
150: ??? art supplies, or something musical...I'm thinking something to deal with a creative hobby I have
    140: clothes, more than likely.
  • Great list!
My reward for reaching onederland is getting my hair done!
  • I love rewards!!
For every ten pounds ending in a nine like
    159 or 149 i get a new workout outfit
And when i finally hit my goal 125-122 i get
To use a bonus from my job to go on a shopping
    Spree!
  • I think rewards are important when you have big goals for sure!

219- Telescope (which my husband has been talking about getting for me soon, so I might have to change that reward! )
    209- New shoes/dress
199- Cover up tattoo to be done and new bathing suit
    185- New tattoo
175- New dress/shoes and sky diving with my husband!

I love your ideas! I dream about the day I HAVE to buy bigger clothes from losing weight!
  • Brilliant idea! I'm doing a similar thing, my fiance is trying his best to support me by promising me a lovely day out in London when I hit my next target
  • I bought myself new clothes at 50lbs and went away for the weekend with my bestie, who rewarded me with a stay in a five star hotel suite and an amazing meal out.

At 75 pounds I bought myself a cheap tank top that says "damn sexy"

For 100 pounds, I wanted to book a last minute to Vegas, but the bf wants to lose weight for his sister's wedding, and he's afraid that even a week there would derail both of us. So my 100 pound reward I think will be laminate flooring in my living room. It needs it bad. The carpet is gross!

150 is where I hope to be for a wedding in October that's in the mountains, so that trip will be the reward itself. (I'm just tagging along with a friend - it's her brother's wedding and she's recently single).

At Goal, which will be between 230 -250 pounds lost (I haven't decided if I'll stop at 200. Have to see what I look like), I definitely want to travel. Maybe Hawaii or take my mom to Alaska. Or even just go back to the maritimes. I loved it there.
  • My first mini goal is to hit 200, because that's the closest weight and about the same as I was before I moved in with my boyfriend. I told myself I would give myself a spa day, but only if I can find one on Groupon that's reasonable.

I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE your rewards!!! I think I will probably buy myself a few new clothes when I hit the 50lb mark! Something definitely to look forward too!
