Oh hi there, I'm new.

  • So I've been to this site numerous times and I finally decided to actually join and start a blog.

    With the new year coming I figured that now is the best time to get my butt in gear. New year... new me. Two big life events are happening for me in September 2013 - getting married and turning 30. I know that I can't do this alone... my fiance is horrible with telling me no when it comes to sweets. My main issue is that I want dessert everyday. I need to learn to substitute the unhealthy, empty carb foods for the healthier versions. I really do like a lot of healthy foods, but lets face it... put a bowl of broccoli and a pint of ice cream in front of me and guess which one I"m going to choose.

    I'm hoping that I can make some friends on here for support, and read blogs of people who are having the same issues that I'm having. I'm really looking forward to this journey because I know this time I'm going to be successful.

    I'm the same way. I crave dessert a lot. Calorie counting and tracking my foods helps me stay on track and makes me think twice before eating sweets. Sometimes I try to brush my teeth, that way I know it won't taste good.
