New To This Thread

  • Hello,
    My name is Brittany I am 21. I have a problem with binging and purging or abusing laxitives, but I am recovering and so far it's going well. I am glad to be a part of such a great community. What do you guys do to help yourselves avoid binging? Or more importantly how do you help yourselves avoid feeling guilty after a binge?

    I am glad you are strong enough to talk about this issue and thanks for sharing. In the past when I would diet, it really helped curb my appetite/cravings if I did light to moderate exercise for about 30 minutes. I just wouldn't feel hungry for awhile after.

    Also, if you mess up don't be too hard on yourself, just accept it, move on, and know that tomorrow is a new day with a whole new set of calories that you can choose to use wisely. Don't tear yourself apart at every mistake, just say "I screwed up. I'll do better the rest of the day." We are all behind you and supporting you on your journey.
