Hello everyone I am in need of some motivation I am 44 years old weigh 145 pounds I have been told more than once to not worry about my weight but I have gained 20 pounds in the last year and I am really uncomfortable in my own skin I found out last year I had cancer I have gone through chemo and radiation and I am now Cancer free but taking all the meds have increased my weight and I am having a hard time losing it I will admit I love my sugary treats and salty snacks I do walk 4 km daily but it does not seem to help any I don't want to seem like a winier I am very great-full to be where I am today just wish I was at my pre surgery weight I hope to make some friends on here and hopefully with some help will be able to look forward and see this weight drop off

Congrats on conquering the cancer! If you haven't already seen it, there's a whole section in this site dealing with health obstacles & diet you might check out. You're not alone dealing with the side effects of those nasty but necessary drugs.

Thank you for the welcome.I have checked a few links here already just never had a chance to post yet I downloaded my fitness pal today and really like it hope it will help me keep the calories in check

I have been here almost a week and have done a lot of reading and then a lot more not much in the posting area yet but that will come I am using my WI fit as my scale and planned on using it on Sat to check my weight well I could not wait had to see if there was as least a little change in numbers and was quite happy when I seen I was down 1.8 lbs using my fitness pal to keep track of calories really makes me aware of what I am shoving in my mouth hopefully this is my start in the right direction cant wait to get my ticker so I can watch the numbers drop
