Good day everyone!! Usually there is a post for the day by now, but since there isn't I will start one.

It is my meeting night. Also elections and I have decided to run for leader. Hopefully I can do as good a job as the one who is stepping down. I thought about this all week and I finally made up my mind last night.

I don't expect much of a loss tonight, actually I think I stayed the same b/c I haven't been able to exercise for the week due to my back but it is getting better and I can do some now.

We didn't get the storm that was down to the south of us so that was nice. Only the first strom this year to pass us by.

Hi Everyone! I am back in town! I came back in yesterday am. I have skipped through the topics to see what I have missed out on! Our trip was ok. I got kind of tired of my sister in law so we came back a little early. But we are taking the kids places around here for the rest of the vacation!
I am happy to report that right before we left I jumped on my scale. Well, my goal was to be back in the 170s before we left. I was 179.50 so I was ecstatic!!! I received a couple comments on how much weight I am doing. And you know it boosts your spirits even more when others notice. I have went from a 16 to a 14 and I actually got on my 12's yesterday which thrills me to no end! Thanks to everyone's help! I have pictures of Mexico of me and the kids if any one wants to see some, I will post them here! Everyone take care and let me know how everyone is doing! I missed you ladies Penny

Hi, I am new to the TOPS forum with posting. I have been a lurker from time to time. I was just wondering if anyone knew the website that someone has many ideas for programs at a meeting, I think it was listed in this forum once before?
I hope to post more often and cheer everyone on with their efforts.

Good morning. Our meeting was last night. The meeting last week was canceled due to bad weather. I lost 5.5 for the 2 weeks, so I was happy. I came really close to winning the fruit basket. (Everyone brings a piece of fruit and whoever loses most wins it.) We had a really good turnout and the basket was full to the brim, so it would've been a good time to win. Maybe next week.

Do any of the other TOPS groups on here use the walking program? We have someone in our group who is going to get everything we need so we can all get started with it. It's the perfect time of year to start it. Maybe it'll be that extra boost I need to get motivated for my walking.

We had elections of officers last night, so that was interesting. We even had fun doing that. We seem to have fun no matter what we do. Our leader has been in charge for 3 years (w/ special permission). She started the group and like she says, it's been her baby from the beginning. She was ready for a break. Our co-leader got voted in to do leader. She's wild and crazy and fun, so we should still have a very lively group.

Well, I better get some work done here.

You are doing great. I have some advice for you. If there are any other positions that you might like to do put your name in for all of them. That way if you don't get leader and would like to do something else then maybe they will choose you for something else. I had my name in for 3 positions and didn't get any. So don't limit yourself to just leader. I wish you luck with the elections tonight. You will make a great leader if they choose you. And remember that I will help you out if you get elected. No problem

Glad to hear that your back is doing better. Keep up the great work. I am sure you will have a loss. I did when I was eating right and still didn't exercise.

Just stopped by to see what was going on.I have been just hanging out around house.My granddaughter is here.I will be keeping her on Wed evenings.
Our leader finally called.Looks like I will be taking care of elections.Getting volunteers is not easy at my club.But I will do something.
Did all my exercises today.Made another walking tape.I went thru 25 cd's trying to pick out walking music that wasn't too fast or too slow.

Well I see that we are up and running. I have been checking in everyday from my 'favourites' and it always seemed like the board was still down but when I came in another way I find that it has been up and running all week. The new board is fun...
Well I went to TOPS for the first time and what a wonderful group of ladies. I go tues. morn. They were all so friendly. I am going to like going there. They are on the walking programme too and I am going to start that.

Eleni, thanks for the site. It doesn't seem to be working right now though. I got a oops page. I couldn't figure out how to email you but maybe it wouldn't matter if the page is not up now. I have been with TOPS since last June and was voted in to be leader on Tuesday. I am not the greatest talker in front of others, I think they did this to try to draw me out. I know I will get programs but it is always nice to hear about other meetings and ways to help us all stay motivated. I will do a bio in a week or so. I am dealing with lots of health issues with my Mother now and hard to get myself to settle down.

I love the way TOPS encourages a little competition with members. I want that little smiley pin for being the weeks best loser.

It takes me some time to get names straight but hopefully I will get to know some of you soon.

It is good to see you around again. Glad you are back.

It is good that you are doing the walking program. There is still way too much snow here to think about walking.LOL But I plan on doing more this year once the weather breaks. I was hard last year with my daughter. I can't push her up the hills in the stroller. This year she should be able to manage to stay on the side of the road with her 4 wheeler and she can ride while I walk. That is the plan anyway. We will see what happens. I am still going to do the aerobics tapes.

Don't worry everyone is always nervous when they first start a job. You will do fine. How is it going adjusting to your new life? Have things settled down for you yet?
