So I wanted to try the taco bake for tonights dinner, but I dont have any refried beans .... or any beans for that matter except garbonzo beans

So my question is do you think mashing up some garbonzo beans with a little cumin/garlic, would give me a similar enough taste?

I'd say no - garbanzo beans have a much different taste than pinto or even black beans. Sorry I came to the party late!
