I met a goal!

  • This week I met my first weight goal. I have lost about ten pounds since changing my lifestyle and also having my life changed by external events.

I feel lucky because I now work at a job that I can bike and walk to, and I know it's made a difference in my quality of life and my diet. It has also added a lot of time into my day, so I have more time to cook, which I am finding is vital for eating healthy and being satisfied.

This website has been valuable to me as well. I am managing my food with more confidence and I am able to move on when I make a mistake. I also feel like I CHOOSE to overeat sometimes, and I own it, instead of feeling like I can't control myself and giving up.

I have chosen to fit small amounts of treats and sugar into everyday of my new life. I have no forbidden foods and that is key for me. As soon as someone/something tells me I can't do something or have something, it is the first thing I want!

I feel really good entering week four of my new life. I am starting to get a little sick of tracking (I do Weight Watchers), but I am hoping I can keep my momentum going through the end of the year and beyond.

Anyway, thank you to everyone who posts here, because I check this site everyday and it is really working for me!

One cool thing is that I got to wear a cute pair of 70's overalls that I haven't been able to fit into for a long time. i work in an elementary school, so it is fun for the kids to see their teacher in overalls, I think.
  • CONGRATULATIONS! That's so fantastic you've made the change to such a healthy lifestyle, and I'm hoping to gradually do the same. Keep up the great work!
  • Congrats! Good job!
  • Way to go!
