MEM ~ yes, I got new glasses today and they are kinda funky looking. They are nothing like I have ever worn before. I was laughing my head off everytime I tried them on, but what the heck -- might as well have some fun with them. I had to get new ones as I couldn't see clearly with the old ones anymore.
Funny thing is, that my new ones will be purple once again. My last ones were lilac or light purple; and these will be a light to medium purple.

They will be ready in about 2-3 weeks, they say; so we'll have to go back to pick them up. We had a good trip with some light blowing snow but the roads stayed clear for us there and back. Our entire yard has a blanket of snow on it and our front bushes look like they are covered with large cotton balls (my SIL's description).
This Thanksgiving, I made DH a pumpkin pie and myself a custard, but I also had a slice of pie for a snack. I ate lighter earlier on, so I was still on plan with my calories for that day too. I plan to do the same thing this year with Christmas -- make my 3 lower calorie treats, and stick with nuts, cheeses, olives, meats, and cracker type snacks like last year. That worked out good for us.
Tomorrow, we are going to our nearest city for my CT Scan. Hope we have clear roads for that trip too, and we may do a bit of shopping if the weather is OK. Hope you all have a successful November too. I know it is harder with so many holidays in a row, but maybe if you plan for a treat on that day, then just continue on next day, that will help keep you OP better. That's what I do anyways ...
