And what do you think?
I've tried:
Jicama: yum, crisp and apple-like. I first tried it after seeing it as a part of Rainbow's work.
Kale: I love to make them as crispy chips
Fennel: tastes like black licorice, but idk what recipes to use with it
Celery/celeric root: it tastes kinda like celery, but I can't stand it. It makes me sico no matter how I prep it
kale - second time trying. made kale chips. disgusting
zucchini - new favorite vegetable next to broccoli
patty pan squash - yum
turnip - making this week as fries
cant find jicama anywhere

jicama - really like it fried with cinnamon and splenda
fennel - really good roasted but don't know what else to do with it
kale - made it to chips....mine turned out horrible
Those are about all the new ones I have tried.
I had never roasted veggies before and now that is my favorite way to eat mushrooms, cauliflower and asparagus.
Kim
turnip - as fries or thin sliced baked with vinegar salt n pepper as chips
kale as chips
radish - peeled with lemon n salt - yumm
i looking toward trying jicama now
kale - I love the chips, although my first batch was horrid. Had to practice a little on those!
Tried rutabaga . . . took one bite the threw them all out. Never again!
Cauliflower rice is my new favorite thing!
I am loving rhubarb and jicama. i like to make them sweet.
jicama I saute or eat raw, sprinkle it with cinnamon and truvia
rhubarb stove top cooked with torani salted caramel, truvia, a little baking soda to cut tart taste, apple pie spice, nutmeg, cinnamon. a splash of WF Syrup. so yummy. some mornings I have some over oatmeal packet.
I love rutabaga now as fries with my Big Mac Salad, didn't think I would like that veggie but it's pretty good baked crispy.
Jimaca with fried then sprinkled with cinnamon and splenda is a treat, never thought I would like that veg either. Thanks to Rainbow smiles and her recipes!
Cauliflower
what you can't you do with it
Jicama- I love it cut an baked into fries with a little olive oil, salt and pepper.
Kohlrabi- peeled and shredded and cooked into hash browns. I have it in the morning with my scrambled egg whites.
Zucchini- dehydrated into salt and vinegar chips
Kale - love making chips and dipping them in WF ketchup!
Turnips - So delicious when made like a baked potato! My turnip fries were a little gross...
Zucchini - I love slicing them with a mandolin and making them like noodles. I throw in some WF tomato and basil and have a spaghetti.
I have failed at rhubarb twice. Both times tasted weird, and kind of like dirt. I think I'd be better with frozen rhubarb, but can't find anything.
And I've messed up cauliflower rice a few times as well, so I've pretty much given up on that for the time being!
