For the past three days I haven't been hungry at all, and forcing myself to get in the daily requirements. I don't feel sick so it's not a bug or anything- maybe I'm burnt out on the veggies and repetition? I probably would've been fine and not hungry with 3 packets.
Anyone else go through a period with no appetite? I haven't had any issues with the diet or anything like this yet, and I'm in my third month. I want to get those veggies in but my brain and stomach are saying NO. Is it mental?
I've gone through days like that - where I have to remember to get all my veggies in because I am just not hungry enough to WANT more food! That feeling usually trades off with the gut-gnawing hunger that usually comes before I drop a decent amount of weight. Just one of the joys of IP!
This was a huge issue for me when I first started IP. I had to force myself to eat, and still I didn't get everything in. I've been on IP 5 months now, and I still go through periods of lack of appetite sometimes. In general, the only non-restricted packets I really have are the drinks, which are easier to get down when you have no appetite. Also, my coach suggested juicing (although it's not exactly IP protocol) and it's really helped. I use any combination of celery, spinach, cucumber, kale, parsley and cilantro and a little lemon, and I either juice it myself or get some juiced fresh at my co-op. I usually have a pint in a day, and then 1-2 cups of veggies in addition throughout the day, but the juicing has really worked for me. I've almost always lost 2-3 lbs a week. A couple of weeks ago, I juiced every day, and I lost 4 lbs that week, so I don't think it negatively impacts weight loss.
I've had that too, but it was the specific type of meat and veggies that gave me no appetite. I found making something different, totally different type of flavors, different veggies, and different animal's meat, makes me able to eat it - and even enjoy it. So it sounds like you need to get creative with the cooking?
