  • Welcome to the newest segment of 10 days in the life boat.

Remember this is not a "challenge" but a place for accountability to ourselves and support.

So what is your plan for this 10 day segment?

Grab an oar and join us doing our best to stay dry.
  • My goals for this leg are to:
    1. Drink more fluids
    2. Not mess up my WW program
    3. Think before I eat.
  • I'm going to row this time too - I need the exercise.

My goal is to (get back) record every bite. Been doing well but I know this is key for me.
  • im on board this time also. I need to increase water , exercise daily and eat healthy. I am going to use my small plate and cook nightly with meat and 2 veggies.
  • my goals:
    1. increase water intake
    2. stay within calorie range every day
    3. workout at least 9 days out of this 10-day segment
    4. limit treats and empty calories even if I'm within calorie range
    5. keep plugging away at my October goals
  • Stayed on plan today, starting out this leg of the journey firmly in my seat!
Got a 2.5 hour workout done today. Feeling better, just still have sniffles from this cold. Everytime I bent over in yoga my nose would start running. I'll be glad when that's over.
  • Dry Day #7.
It wasn't easy but I stayed in my seat!
  • dry and got some exercise! Still need to increase water more.
  • Hello All!

I am working on perfecting my tvp patties.

If can get the spices and consistency right, There wont be much of a need for meat in what I eat.

Do far, Ive gotten the consistency right, and it cooks well, but the spices are not "burger tastin" as of yet.

I will start working with measurements and maybe take some pics once I get the ingredients in working order
  • that's great Jonah!

    I lost 2 more pounds!

That puts me at 45 lbs total which is EXACTLY 25% of my total goal! It took me 17 weeks to get 1/4 the way there!
  • Great job, Laura!

I'm going to climb back in the boat--there's room, right?

Just two goals for these 10 days: check in on 3FC daily, and get cardio in daily.
  • @Laura- You have done a fantastic job.

Thank you for being consistent and dedicated as it has really been a motivator for me.

    Mid-day update:

I made TVP burgers again today, and this time, it came out 20% better (tasting) than last time

    Picture added:

    This 10 Day Segment Goals:

    - Staying focused on eating well, and living well
    - Getting proper rest (my sleeping schedule is horrid)
    - Staying properly Hydrated
    - Learning to love myself enough to not listen to those greedy voices (eat only chocolate, etc :O )

  • Food is great but I'm not recording every bite - gonna count that as damp as journaling each bite is a huge key to my success.
  • Thanks gals! And welcome, vortex!

Jonah, I'm looking forward to hearing you have perfected the tvp patty recipe, I'm sure you'll get it right soon. Sounds interesting.

I went to a puzzle party tonight. What fun! 3 couples assembling jigsaw puzzles and having good food (mostly healthy) and just talking and having a good time. Hope eveyone else had a fun Saturday night.

I joined a fitness challenge at the Y that starts tomorrow. It's called "4th QUARTER CHALLENGE" to motivate us to keep moving through this last quarter of 2012 and throughout the holiday season. Sounds excellent for keeping us accountable. They divide us into teams and log how many minutes we each workout at the Y. And they'll highlight a fitness class each week and if a participant takes the class they get to count their minutes as DOUBLE for the week! My team is sooooo gonna win! I'm competitive so this is right up my alley. And I already convinced my workout buddy and my mom to join.

Today I worked out for 2 hours and stayed on plan all day so I'm nice and dry and rowing away!
  • Day 8 still dry!
    Meeting goals.
    Feelin' great!
