  • Welcome, Autumn! (for the northern hemisphere) and Welcome, Spring! (for the southern hemisphere). Both are great seasons for meeting weight loss goals.

This is a monthly challenge about numbers you want to see on the scale or for strategies / techniques / habits to implement that will help you meet your weight loss goals.

Set your weight loss goal in a starting post, then track it through the month. We compile all of our goals into a list -- when you meet your goal, it gets turned RED in celebration!

Watch for our sister thread: October Exercise Challenge for your fitness goals!
  • We're going to be out of town some in October, so I won't be able to weight myself every day. Of the 22 days that I expect to weigh myself, I want at least 15 of them to be below 76 kgs.

My goal: 15 morning weights below 76kgs
  • I would like to join in. It seems like perfect timing since I am just setting off on my journey to lose weight and get healthy. My goal for October is to lose 10 lbs. I know that is quite a bit, but I'm hoping since i am just starting out, I will lose some water weight that will help me along. I plan to weigh in on Wednesdays and Sundays.

    10/3- 317 TOM
    10/7- 315

  • My goal is to be down another 10 lbs for October
Starting weight this am was 246.6 so hoping for 235ish by end of October !
  • I tried all summer and never made it, my goal for October is to get to 195 lbs.

I've decided to start experimenting with early morning workouts this month, instead of strictly working out after work hoping that I'm not completely exhausted after a busy day in the office. Waking up at 5:00am is not the most appealing thing but if I can do it just twice a week (plus weekend workouts) I'll be off to a good start. Any tips or tricks for working out in the morning are appreciated!

    Good luck everyone!
  • I can't believe it's already October. I would like to hit 145.0 this month! My weigh-ins will be on Sunday.

    SW: 150.4
    GW: 145.0

    10/7: 149.0
    10/14: 147.8
    10/21: 145.6
    10/28: 144.8
  • I expect my losses to slow down this month so, I'd like to see 140 by the end of this month.

    SW: 147
    GW: 140
  • I enjoyed the Sept Challenge, so I'll keep going with this one. Last month, I lost 14lbs, and my bodybugg is predicting another 14 to come. I also want to continue with my Curves program at least 5 days a week and lose another 10 inches (from all over- so far this has been standard for a 14lb loss). Sooo....

    Start Weight: 235
    Goal Weight: 221
  • New month, new challenge, same goal 249.

I know I can do this, not least because I have been here before. Plan and prepare meals, check in daily, job done. (I really know I can do this).
  • Tabbycat here.

I barely made my Sept goal, with my weight waffling around.

I want to stay at or under 25 during October.
  • I would love to drop 10lbs in October!! It will be hard but I am ready for the challenge!! So hopefully 152 by Halloween- at 150 I will officially be no longer overweight!
  • I'd like to lose 8 pounds this month.

    CW: 150
    GW: 142
  • Great goals, everyone! I'll wait a day or so for more to chime in and then make the goal list.

    Day 1 of 15 below 76kgs
  • Day 2 of 15 below 76kgs
  • Hey I would love to join, These challenges keep me motivated and god knows I need that right now. My goal this month will be to loose 12 lbs. That would put me below the 230 mark which I would LOVE to see. My official weigh ins are on Saturday and WW scale doesn't always agree with mine but I weight daily for my own use at home. 12 lbs in a month, I CAN DO THIS!
    SW: 241.0
    GW: 229.0
