Ideal Diet brand?

  • Does anyone know what the "Ideal Diet" brand is? It's all over EBay!

I went to see if I can score some extra packets to experiment with for cheap, and I'm running into this brand again and again.
  • Looks like the exact same packaging as the HealthSmart brand sold through Nashua Nutrition. Whoever manufactures the packets sells it rebranded under a few names - HealthSmart, Health Wise...apparently also Ideal Diet.
  • How are you liking alternatives? I saw in another thread that you've switched over. Has your weight loss stayed the same?

My IP plan is only for two months, so I've considered switching over when that time is up. This forum is full of info on alternatives!
  • So far I haven't noticed any slowdown in my weight loss - there are still some IP products that I use, just because I prefer the taste, but most days I'm on the alternatives and I definitely like having more $$ in my pocket at the end of the week! I still use the IP brand supplements, I just buy them from plainprotein.com instead of through the clinic.
  • Can someone please explain to me the alternative method?? I want to start this diet but i find it really expensive. I have about 25 lbs to lose.
    Would really appreciate any help!

The "alternative method" when we talk about alternative products is when instead of spending big money on Ideal Protein products, we follow the IP protocol (the sheet from the clinic that tells you what to eat for each meal, which veggies and meats are approved, etc), but instead of using Ideal Protein packets we use "alternative" or "off-brand" products. Molly mentioned it in the other thread, but you need to do a side-by-side comparison of any non-IP products with IP products and make sure you are getting the correct calories, carbs, protein; pay attention to which products are restricted (8g of carbs or more and you can only have one per day) and which are unrestricted; check the Alternative Reviews threads to see what products people have triend and their reviews, so you don't waste a ton of money on something you don't like.
