I'm Depressed

  • Now, I know I deserve it but I gained 6 pounds in 2 weeks!!!!!!!

I know I've been eating crappy and not excersising but I though the pounds will continue to melt off regardless.

And I know you'll all say not to let this get me down, but it has. It's my first gain since I started this. And 6 pounds??? What the is that all about??

I am not walking today at lunch -- it's gonn make me sweaty and all have on is a sweater. Plus, I am STARVING and can't eat yet until this frikkin' courier arrives since we can't get deliveries here on the Hill.

Maybe this should have gone under the "how's your day post"

My answer would be, "not good at all."

I know that everyone on this forum knows exactly how you feel.

I want you to remember that *you* lost weight before and you can do it again. Tonight, when you get home.. just pretend you are starting a new day. Eat a healthy dinner and take a short walk. Then the next day, remember some extra clothes at work and take that walk at lunch.

You can get through this.. and we will be here to support you.

  • Jenne,

Hi sweetie. I am having the exact same problem today. I also gained 6 pounds in the last 2 weeks and I know that I am the only one to blame. I ate out of control and just expected that I wouldnt gain any of it back. My body is getting tired of this routine. It just wants me to be normal and eat right.

On the other hand...I was feeling really fat before I gained the six pounds. Now I am feeling bad for feeling that way. In retrospect, I now realize that six pounds ago I was not fat and that I need to pull my head out of my a** and just be happy with myself no matter what! Why do we always let the scale determine how we should feel.

Keep your head up Jenne. I know that backtracking is not fun...believe me! But if you just keep yourself motivated you will loose that 6 pounds faster than you thought. If you stay down in the dumps it will only add more to your frustration.

I have given myself until the end of the month to rid myself of the pounds I gained back. I will not step on the scale until the 30th!
Good luck to you and keep us posted on your progress!

By the way....you should always keep some snacks with you. It is definately not good to wait to eat. If you satisfy your hunger as soon as you feel it then you will not have the urge to binge or overeat when you do have a chance.
