Hello

  • I'm not a 'fat' chick, I'm a fat guy, but I figure this is as good a place for me as anyone with weight issues. I just wanted to introduce myself and start reading and maybe adding to the forum. I'm 50 and pretty far into the over weight category.

I never really had weight issues as a kid or even young adult but age, a sedentary life style and my wife's excellent cooking have all added to my present situation. I have dabbled with weight loss in the recent years but never really had the desire to really go for it. Recently, when I topped the scales at 254 I decided I had to take the matter seriously.

In my dabbling I tried Weight Watchers online, my own attempts at self restraint, joining a gym and the like but nothing really caught my fancy. One thing that really got my attention was one of my wife's friends. She lost over a hundred pounds in about a year and she looks good. My wife told me her friend was using Medifast, so I looked into it. Being a computer junky and someone that likes to really look into something before I rush in, I found Wonderslim was more or less the same thing but cheaper and the food supposedly tastes better, so that's the diet I am trying now. Hopefully it works for me as well.

My goal is to lose 60 pounds by the end of the year. I realize this is a bit lofty but better to shoot for the stars and only hit the moon.

  • Hello and welcome to the forum
  • Welcome to 3 Fat Chicks, Thasic - It's always nice to have another rooster around the place.

Look around to find a group that fits your style. Men are welcome anywhere. Some of drop by the Mens Corner from time to time but mostly are spread about.

Have you chosen an eating plan and an exercise plan yet?
