Has anyone done the cheek swab to determine how they should eat? It is suppose to tell you whether you should eat high or low carb or a balance of the two based on your DNA. Most people are suppose to fall into either the high or low carb group.
I'm not convinced that the DNA test is any more accurate than trial and error at this point.
For example, you may have the "high-carb" genes, but if you have diabetes, thyroid issues, autoimmune disease, PCOS, fibromyalgia, and/or other health issues that respond to carb-restriction, the low-carb or moderate-carb diet may still be more beneficial than a high-carb diet.
Until there's a diagnostic tool that can take all the variables into account (and we're not there yet, with the science) trial and error is still a better tool (and cheaper too).
Never heard of this. I know that every body is different. They just need to figure out what is best for them.
