ProtiDiet Wafer Cookies Unrestricted?

  • Hi all! I'm using alternatives now and I read in another post that the ProtiDiet Wafers were unrestricted--having only 8 carbs. In my excitement I go online and order 5 boxes. Low and behold after I indulge in all that wafer goodness I see that it has 10g of Fat!!!! Ok IP family...what say you? Restricted or unrestricted? I would LOVE for these to be unrestricted but I think I already know the answer. I'd still love to get your thoughts. TIA!
  • You are doing a great job! Just curious as to where you bought these? I saw on the Nashua site that they have been sold out for a while now. Is there somewhere else that they are available?

    Thanks so much!
  • The ones sold out on the Nashua website are the "ProtiThin" brand. There are also a "ProtiDiet" brand. I LOVE LOVE LOVE the ProtiThin ones, so emailed Nashua about when they would be back in stock. Apparently, they have them but the manufacturer has requested they show up as out of stock, I have no idea why. They told me to write in the comments section when I checked my cart out, if I wanted to add some to my order. I ordered 3 boxes of each and they arrived last week!! I have never tried the ProtiDiet ones.

I would be concerned more about the carbs than the fats. If the net carb count says 8 then they are unrestricted. Enjoy!

There are 8 carbs total (fiber 0, sugars 0, sugar alcohol 2). So even with fat being 10 I should be in the clear for unrestricted? I haven't mastered the formula and I know someone on here has some insite. I haven't tried Proti-Thin but according to others on the board those are definitely restricted. This is why I went with the ProtiDiet. The ProtiDiet tastes pretty amazing to me! plus they're cheaper from the site I order from
