I'm 37, live in Northern Europe and have been overweight for most of my life. About ten years ago I got down to my ideal weight, but slowly got lazy and gained everything back in three to four years. Yeah... not good.
Something finally clicked this summer, so here I am, doing my best to get in shape again. I've actually been at it since the first of August and lost a good amount already. How much exactly? I don't know, since I'm not using a scale - I'm measuring my success by how I feel. If I had to take a guess I'd say I started at around 190 pounds, while my height is 5'6 (on a small, albeit seriously pear-shaped frame).
I'm not following any specific plan, just avoiding dairy (lactose intolerant), most grains, fast food, sweets and sodas. For exercise I walk at least six times a week for an hour, but I've been doing that for more then two years now.
So that's basically it. Hopefully I can take it off again and stick with the loss permanently.
