Ready to get back on track

  • Hello,

My name is Lindsey and I'm ready for a change. I've pretty much been chubby most of my life, though I was thinner before college. It was very easy to exercise and diet when I was younger and didn't have a lot to do. Now, with a job that keeps me in the office almost 12 hours a day, it's been really hard to diet or motivate myself to workout. I'm the heaviest I've ever been in my life and it doesn't feel good. I'm 5'6" and about 200 pounds (I haven't weighed myself in a while).

After going shopping recently, I found it very frustrating to try to find clothes in the misses section that would fit me. I'm almost big enough to go to the plus sized section. So, I've decided I'm going to do something. I want to be healthier and more energetic. I don't like huffing whenever I climb the stairs. The biggest problem I've had is motivating myself. I hope being a part of a community of people who can relate to me will help me stay on track and get in shape.

I can't wait to chat with you guys!
  • Oh, and I forgot to mention I've started dieting in baby steps. I'm a soda addict, so I'm trying to cut back. I used to have as many as three a day, but now I'm down to one a day. Hopefully, I can go a few days without a soda soon.
