Between challenges mixed Exercise Thread Week 4 (08/20-08/26)

  • For an effective weight loss program it is important to incorporate exercise as well as making better dietary choices. While any kind of exercise is good for you, it has been proven many times over that just cardio or just strength training isn't the way to go...you need to have a combination of both, with a little bit of core focus as well. So as you plan out and track your exercise this week, be sure to get in 2-3 strength workouts and 2-3 cardio sessions. And don't forget about those abs!   • It's the last week of my summer vacation, so I've been trying to make the most of it and get in lots of exercise before I have to go back to work and am stuck sitting at a desk


    Monday- Bleh...I forget what I did...I generally do at least an hour of biking per day just to get around...
    Tuesday- 30 DS, biking--1 hour (got my kindle and a wicked TOM, so it was a lazy day)
    Wednesday- (After curling up in the fetal position and wishing for death) 30 DS, biking--1 hour 30 minutes (wasn't going to bike far, but I had to go to 4 different Japanese drug stores before I found tampons)
    Thursday-30 DS, walking--19,896 steps (a total of 4.16 miles to and from a mall, 1.5 hours doing laps inside the mall)
    Friday- 30 DS x2 (once in the morning, again after dinner), biking--1 hour 40 minutes, walking--5,875 steps
    Saturday- 30 DS in the morning, 2.3 km jog, biking--1 hour 20 minutes, ab workout (30-50 reps of each of the ab exercises in level 1 of 30 DS)
