Novi-Cleanse

  • Hello!

I had my 6th WI and I was only down 1# (down is still good, so i'm not discouraged). Last week's WI was -0.5#s.

I have stayed OP the entire time and I do up to 2 restricteds a week (if that). I did talk to my coaches about my "elimination" issues (i go ALL the time) of the last two weeks and we think my body may be storing and not wanting to let go of fat because i've been losing nutrients from having to use the restroom so frequently.

We also talked about possibly starting the Novi Cleanse for me next week if i'm at the 0.5-1# loss again to "jump-start" my system and get out of this plateau/slow-down.

Have any of you experienced the Novi Cleanse? What does it do exactly? I tried to do a search, but didn't find much info about how it works....
  • i have never tried it yet...

maybe this can help a little??

Thanks! So....it just sounds like Phase 1, but MORE restrictions. and no dinner protein (which i look forward to). *sigh* oh well. if it has to be done....
  • You Can Do Anything You Set Your Mind To Do
  • My coach said that it's just adding extra capsules to normal phase 1. I have to start it next week too. I've had slower losses too. I don't think there is any further restrictions, though.
  • Sales gimmick
I have been reading these blogs for a while now and have been on IP 7 weeks. I don't see anyone have the "huge" losses each week as they brag about in the sales part of the program. I have lost every week, 3 to 4 lbs, but NEVER the 7 to 10 lbs they say I should have while on IP. I think a lot of it is all the sales pitch to get people to sign up...Just my observation. Don’t beat yourself up over the small losses – any loss is a success in my book!

Strange...when I signed up I was told that I might see 8-10 pounds in the first week, then 3-5 pounds a week (best case scenario) after that.

Would you like to be cleanse buddies? It might sound weird, but it would be nice to have someone else going through it at the same time. Even if they decide not to have me try it, I'd be happy to be your support, if needed.

I don't expect to lose 6-10 lbs/week. Nor has IP EVER been advertised to me as a program in which I would do so. I have been told, on average, women will lose 2-4 lbs a week (as you have). Thus far, if I do an average of my total loss so far, it's 2 lbs per week. I'm content with that.

What I would NOT be happy with is if I continued to lose only 0.5-1 lb/week on this program. If I have to invest a little money and effort to kick a plateau, I'm willing to try it.

It's not guaranteed that I will have to do the Novi-Cleanse. I just like being informed of what I may or may not have to put my body through. I know that many have had bad experiences with their coaches/clinic, but I REALLY like mine and trust them. They have never tried to upsell or force products on me, offer great advice and suggestions, and I know that they understand their name is on the line if their clients aren't succeeding.
  • I just finished week 1, my weigh-in was a 10lb loss. Whether it will keep going into to next week, I can't say! I will post as I go. Food is my constant companion and I love to eat! Butt, literally.... Got too big!

I do however worry about constipation. My eyeballs are floating with all the water I drink
