Last week I only went to the gym 2 times (from my normal 5-7)
So today I made up for it by doing 3 hours of cardio and only 5 min break every hour.

Looking at your stats your doing a great job!! While doing 3 hrs of cardio is not the best choice maybe this was just a one time deal. We all know what our bodies can handle and whats best but reading the article that was posted I think it had some great advice. I applaud you for getting to the gym...thats something I should be doing lol
