How do YOU stay OP?

  • What are all your tips for those days when you're having trouble staying OP?
Yesterday I made a scrub for my legs (which are now silky and smooth!), and today I gave my self a manicure!
  • I drink LOTS of water - make zucchini chips - and look at my "before" and "now" pictures
  • I look at my flow chart of measurements and go "shopping" through my closet, trying on clothes I haven't fit into in years.
  • I walk myself to the nearest mirror and take a good long look at myself. If it's in my private home, I do it in no clothes; if I am tempted by some food at work, I go to the ladies room. And I tell myself that overdoing the food that I am tempted to eat is what got me looking like in the first place, and do I really want to continue in this vein.

Works every time. I also have a picture of myself squashed into my favorite amusement ride at our vacation destination. I look awful, and I barely fit it the seat....and I don't want to be seen as "that fat lady trying ride this ride".
  • I have the worst picture of me ever from a recent staff party. I look like an over stuffed sausage.....i am going to print and carry it with me!!!

(worse yet, i thought I looked really good that day.....well, pics dont lie!)

    Drake girl,
How do you make zucchini chips, I need a OP snack!!
  • I plan my menu ahead. Keep veggies ready to cook on the fridge for the week.
For example, I have shredded zucchini for my breakfast pancakes. I have cauliflower ready for my "rice" or puree. But most important of all keep looking for different recipes so you don't get bored. There's a lot of help on this forum.
  • I chug a lug baby...lots of water!!!

Using a mandolin slice 1 small zucchini into slices between 1/16" and 1/8" (I did 1/16 but if you went a little thicker they would have some more bite to them). Lay them out on a silicone baking mat or parchment lined cookie sheet. Sprinkle with your choice of seasonings:
Sweet: 1 pkt Splenda mixed with cinnamon
Savory: Sea Salt and seasoning of your choice (I used a lemon herb seasoning)
Bake at 350 for 10-15 minutes checking frequently. Mine turned a little brown in the middle but they weren't burnt, just crunchy and delicious!! (if you're using a silicone baking sheet bake for 10-15 min and then turn so the other side will dry out, return to oven and bake another 3-5 minutes).
