a ridiculous nsv

  • so after weighing in daily the first 2 weeks of july and not seeing adequate change with just dieting, i decided today that i need to actually get moving also. i decided that after work today i would go on a walk outside (which is not something i would usually opt to do because it is july and i live in alabama), and i knew there was this dog park less than a block from my house so i decided to go there.

this is where the victory comes in...so i walk down there after work and i had only been there once before so i didn't know too terribly much about it, but this park isn't just a dog park, it is also a disc golf course. and it's a pretty huge course. i kept walking and walking and walking and never crossed over the same path twice and then i stumbled upon ANOTHER park connected to that one, one with baseball diamonds and kids playing and stuff. it was so crazy, i've lived in this particular apartment for a year at the end of august so how did i never know this was there? i walked for 45 minutes and totally didn't even see parts of the park that i later saw from the road so now i have this ridiculously expansive walking trail/park thing to explore complete with puppies and kids playing! score!
  • Thats awesome that's going to make your walks that much more entertaining!
  • i know, i'm psyched! dodging frisbees and dogs charging me, i can't wait!
  • Wow, that sounds like a really nice spot! Maybe it will keep it feeling fresh for you.
  • Sweet! I wish we had parks like that around here, there's really nowhere to walk around here. Everything is developed, but there are NO sidewalks. It's pretty awful.
