  • Welcome to the newest segment of 10 days in the lifeboat.

Remember this is not a "challenge" but a place for accountability to ourselves and support.

So what is your plan for this 10 day segment?

Grab an oar and join us doing our best to stay dry.

  • My goals for #26 are:
    1: Drink 64 oz of fluids/day.
2: Stay as close to my assigned WW points as possible never using more than 3 extra pts. on any single day,if needed.
3: Really work on stringing OP days together.
  • drink my water, eat healthy foods and in my allowed amount. Exercise daily
  • my goals
stay within my WW points allowance every day

exercise everyday at least one hour

weigh in on sun and thurs ==> aim for 2 lbs loss each weigh in

stay on plan this week when I go visit my boyfriend for 5 days. He's taking vacation days to coincide with his birthday. Resist the cake!
  • day one was just so so...so we will call it splashing with my feet dangling over the side of the boat!! I need to get op and stay that way!!!
  • Deb, No dabbling. There may be sharks!

My day 1 was good. Out to dinner - Thai, tonight. Think I'll be okay.
  • Dinner got cancelled so aced the day!!!!
  • had an awesome 2 hour workout today. Stayed within my WW points. I'm doing great. Have a walk through the forest planned for tomorrow. Might even get some nice scenic photos out of it.
  • Great day yesterday and had all my limbs inside the boat!! Woo hoo!!
  • row row row your boat!! feeling a bit stronger!
  • Good day yesterday. Today ..... I've crashed, burned and landed in the water already and it's still morning!
  • I started Sunday 7/15:
    1. Don't drink any calories.
    2. Measure my portions according to food label or common sense.
    3. Make concious food choices.
    4. Don't quit.

These are my simple goals. I have been on so many diets and I have so much information that I know what I should be eating. I am just using what I know. The hardest thing is resisting the "fat" withdrawl. I look at it like caffeine or nicotin. My body wants that Big Mac, fries and biggie sized Dr. Pepper. So when I eat a sensible meal it tries to trick me into thinking I am still hungry when, after a normal portion of "healthy" spaghetti w/ meat sauce and salad, I know I am not.
  • I am a bit behind this week...I had knee surgery on Monday. But I have managed to stay dry all week.

Sunday was a trip to the casino. Instead of grabbing a burger at the bingo hall we ordered salads from the restaurant. I could only eat half. We usually have supper at the buffet and that's what we did on Sunday also. I had baked chicken breast and baked fish, a lettuce salad, cooked carrots and cantaloupe. So I stayed on plan and within my calorie goal!

Monday was surgery and that was an easy day...nothing to eat before surgery, home by noon, slept until 5:30. Eggs, yogurt and fruit for supper.

Yesterday my best friend brought over supper so I wouldn't have to cook. Except she brough over broasted chicken. I always have a lettuce salad in the fridge, she also brough watermelon. So I peeled the skin off the chicken breast at half of it (the meat not the skin) and had a salad and watermelon.

Today looks like it should be smooth sailing.

Tomorrow I can take my compression wrap off and start on the treadmill!!

Best of luyck to everyone. Hope your week stays dry!
  • Compression wrap off today and I was able to take a shower! YAY!! Knee is feeling pretty good! I was worried that I would eat out of boredom while recovering from surgery, but so far that hasn't been an issue.

here's to calm seas and smooth sailing!
  • I got splashed yesterday but nowhere near as bad as the day before.

I will meet my goals and stay dry today ....... so there!
