  • Just wondering what type of low calorie snacks does everyone usually have at home? I'm trying to think of what to put on my grocery list so hoping I can get some ideas.
  • Laughing cow cheese and baby carrots.
  • Those little things of cheese are good. I also get the Special K bars. They range from 90-100 calories. They're super good. My favorite is the strawberry Special K crisps (100 cal). Celery, carrots, pistachios, pickles and cherry tomatoes.
  • carrots and celery I loooove celery lol if I can bring a tupperware I'll bring watermelon or cherries... *drools*
  • Non fat yogurt.
  • I don't know what you consider low calorie but anyway here goes...

I love cottage as a dip, it has more protein than sour cream and just as flavorful as dips if you mix blue cheese crumbles in, hidden valley powder, etc. Good with cherry tomatoes, carrots, celery, cucumbers, any of your favorite dipping vegetables. Even your favorite crackers too if you're already good on your veggie intake for the day. I also use this on top of salads as dressing. If you're not a fan of cottage cheese, you can totally sub greek/plain yogurt if you'd like.

I also like cut up apples with a peanut butter-yogurt mixture (1 tbsp natural PB to 1/4 cup plain yogurt but you can mix it to your consistency/tastes). I do this to lower the calories while you still get the flavor of peanut butter and more protein too!

String cheese is another one or you could just get a block of your favorite cheese and cut it up in 1 oz servings. You can even freeze the remainder before it goes bad (cheaper that way, IMO unless you get a good deal with store specials and coupons).
  • I second the watermelon! We have been getting some good ones. I really like all types of fruit and always have some on hand.
  • Rice cakes are my favourite! Very filling, there's loads of variety and are usually under 40 calories each!
  • re:
I always have 100 calorie popcorn around.
  • Mixed nuts, unsalted. They are my go-to snack.
  • Brown Rice Ricecakes
    Sea Salt Soy Crispettes
    Hummus
    Peanut Butter
    Carrots, celery, radishes, cherry/grape tomatoes
Any fruit, especially in season varieties
KIND Bars are beyond awesome for a slightly higher calorie snack!
  • Cottage cheese and vitatops are what I have on-hand right now.
  • my new favorite is deli meat (mostly 60 cals for 6 slices), laughing cow cheese and a sliced pickle. 2 slices of meat, part of the cheese and all of it wrapped around a sliver or slice of pickle. you could also wrap it up in lettuce. very yummy!
  • Some great snack ideas here. Thanks all for posting.
  • Doritos probably not a good idea.
