A plethora of NSVs...

  • I've had so many NSVs these past few days that I couldn't be happier despite what's going on in my life right now. It makes me feel like these changes are real and permanent (well I hope so!)

    First:
Wednesday I had an interview/demo lesson. Left plenty of time and on the way there I had a tire blowout on the highway! Agh! Luckily I managed to navigate safely to the shoulder and pull over.

Um about six guys at different times stopped and offered to help. I've been stuck on the side of the road before and never had this happen. Two of them insisted on getting my spare out of my trunk for me while I was waiting for my dad to show up. I managed to do most of it myself and one of the guys said: "damn you're a strong and pretty, perfect!" LOL

    Second:
Had another interview Thursday and climbed four flights of stairs with about 30lbs of stuff in the heat wearing a suit. Didn't break a sweat, much to the amazement of the person interviewing me!

    Third:
I got a rejection today from a school I interviewed at. I took it in stride and worked out my frustration at the gym this morning and did TWO SETS of 130lb deadlifts when I can usually only do one! Awesome!

    Four:
I had a job offer, then lost it because the person I was to replace isn't leaving. Also took it in stride! No turning to food and instead I busted my *** at the gym.

    Five:
Today I had two poached eggs and veggies for breakfast. I got full when I still had a little bit of one egg left. I was about to eat it anyway when I said: "I'm full. Why am I going to eat this?" and threw it away. I've never been able to portion myself that way unless I decided how much I was going to eat ahead of time.

I'm really feeling great right now. Even though I'm having a bit of a tough time, I'm taking it one day at a time...oh and going to the gym is a great way to feel awesome!!!

  • Only one thing to say

    Great job!
  • Brilliant! Way to go, Sontaikle! Sorry to hear you're having a hard time but I love your positive attitude. It makes a big difference.

By the way you look awesome in your pics! You're inspiring me to start heavy lifting.
  • That is so awesome!
  • Thanks so much everyone!!

Thanks! I admit I was very, very depressed for about a day and a half after I lost the job offer, but then I realized that it wasn't meant to be and I jumped back into everything. Positivity is the only way to go!

I'm so glad you decided to start heavy lifting! I'm aways super happy when someone decides to do that.
  • That's natural, being able to pick yourself up again though is great. It's much easier to sit around feeling sorry for ourselves, right

I haven't started yet, I don't have a gym membership ha, so trying to work out how to do stuff without it. I'll get there! Thanks!
