I am starting tomorrow.
I don't understand and I guess I forgot to ask.
What is "Hard Cheese"?
Hi! Hard cheeses are those like cheddar, Swiss, romano, parmesan, montery jack, asiago, etc. that you can grate but are difficult or impossible to spread. They're usually aged. Soft cheeses are those like brie, riccotta, feta, mozerella, chevre, etc. that are high in moisture content and are meant to be eaten soon after they're made. A lot of them are easy to smoosh or spread.
I usually get the block cheese... i.e cheddar or colby jack and slice a hunk when I want it... I heard somewhere that the pre-shredded stuff is okay, but it may have extra added "stuff"... I still use it for convenience, but I don't know if it'll cause anyone's weight loss to stall...
Thank you. I have some asiago which I thought would count but if chedder and colby jack are on the list.. YEA!!.. I love those.
Trying to finish up day one, almost there..
