  • List a few good reasons to stay on program

    1. Less bloat
    2. smaller grocery bill
    3. better mood
    4. Less fast food+more tasy nutricious stuff
    5. better sex {who gets freaky on a fat day?}
  • Here's mine:

    1. Feel better about how you look
    2. Pleasure of feeling healthy & virtuous while DH scarfs down something evil! (especially if I don't even LIKE the evil thing)
    3. Less thought about what to eat, what to eat - you already know!
    4. Feel fuller with healthy food & don't keep craving granola bars cuz you are still hungry
    5. Good example to the dear children (my eldest DD has just discovered salad because, she says, she sees me eating big salads all the time - and this from the Princess of Toast! I was so glad!)

  • Well, here's my first one...
I'm suffering from TERRIBLE reflux lately, and if I eat a large portion (okay, even a small) of anything I feel dreadful.
  • Ellis! You can't ignore that!!! Get it checked out!

I have a wedding to go to in July. It's a side of the family that I don't particulary care for but the Bride is a cousin that I was close to. Petty and evil as it is, I would like to be able to walk in there at 200 pounds (which is 98 less than where I started) and flaunt it. When I'm on the eliptical machine and want to quit or when the In-n-Out Burgers start calling, I think of this. Somehow, it makes me stay on a lot longer.
  • Oh Jessica... you're kidding me. I have to go to see my doctor AGAIN! curses...
What will happen to me? Will my teeth fall out? I thought maybe I was finally getting a sign from God not to eat so much.
  • Even though, my scale is not moving... I am staying OP because..

my ring is loose, my watch needed to be tightened...
my other pair of overalls are now comfy with all the buttons buttoned, my bras are getting loose, no more rolaids, more energy, I feel better...less time in the potty... more confidence...and I know that I am doing my best!
  • I am staying OP because it is my self promise. When Bill wrote in BFL about whether or not you would keep trusting a person that kept breaking their promises it really spoke to me. So I have made my promise and set my goals, tried to plan my workouts and my food and have done a good job. Its very important to me to keep the #1 promise and finish the 84 days out to my best ability. The perks are:

    1. Muscles- You can see my abs even when I don't suck in, I have serious biceps, and my boobs are getting so firm
    2. I can pin my hubby down and make him scream
    3. A general feeling of well being
    4. I look better!

    So there it is.
    Miss Chris

  • ooooo la la!
Okay, I'll get on it right away!
    Thanks, Chris!
  • Miss Chris:

Re your #2 " I can pin my hubby down and make him scream"

Okay. enough about your sex life already
  • I think I can hear sarcasm crossing the abyss from Ellis and Mauvais.

I thought of another reason to stay OP! Because I never again want to joke about myself and use the noises "Oink"or "Moo" LOL!

    Miss Chris
  • My black jeans are no longer too tight.
    Grocery bill really is affected.
My innards seem to be working much more effectively!
    Sense of control.
    My skin is clearer.

Although I have had a questionable last 2 days, I still managed to resist the potato wedges while grocery shopping tonight, and I was STARVING.

Did eat a bit too much pasta here at home, but better than wedges.

  • How about...
If I go back to old eating habits I will GAIN THREE HUNDRED POUNDS and end up on Jerry Springer unable to get out of my bed and all of this hard work will have been in vain!!!

    Yes, I'm crabby and pms'ing.
  • You ladies are a hoot!

Here are my reasons (should have listened to them today!)

    1. seeing hubby's face when I have a new outfit on, that makes me look "wow" and he thinks I should be covered up! lol

    2. Because I really and truly do feel better.

    3. Not wanting to be described by strangers as the "heavy girl" with dark hair.
