Cambridge Weight Plan

  • Does anyone knows about Cambridge Weight Plan?
    Please if you have any experience from it, let me know.
    I need all the information I can find.

  • The Cambridge diet is a modified PSMF which personally I am not a fan of just as I am not a fan of the IP diet because rather than give you the facts and information they are giving you half truths and selling you supplements.

    If you want to follow a PSMF (google it) I would suggest instead Lyle McDonalds Rapid Fat Loss.

    However, I am personally not a fan of PSMF for most people because they are quite extreme and do not lead to the establishment of good dietary habits. Good dietary habits are the key to long term success.

  • I was on the Cambridge Plan decades ago (I was still a teenager). From what I can see, the only change they've made is providing more meal-replacement options. When I was on it, there was only shakes and puddings (and maybe soups - but the reputation was that the soups were absolutely nasty. I don't remember though if the soups were available while I was on the plan, or only a bit later - but I do remember that I was glad I hadn't tried them, because eveyone who did said they were godawful).

    I'm sure the flavors have improved, but I agree that they weren't really helpful in the long run, and like all crash diets and vlcd's did more to contribute to weight gain than weight loss (when you got sick enough of the crappy food to quit, you were so starved for real, good-tasting food that bingeing was almost inevitable, and the kind of bingeing that's hard to put a stop to. I gained back all the weight I lost in less than a month. I "knew" that I had to curtail the eating, but I felt so starved for real food that I couldn't make myself use common sense).

    In the long run, my current path is much more effective, and much more pleasant - very slow, gradual changes - yielding very slow, gradual but (virtually) effortless results.
