900 calorie day...should I eat more even if I'm not hungry?

  • This morning I ate a small grilled chicken Caesar pita from extreme pita (307 cals)

Then, i walked down to my fiance's work and we ate some McDonald's (I know, we were in a pinch) before groceries. I had a double cheese burger and didn't eat half the bun (400 cals)

Tonight I had a light supper of banana nut Cheerios and vanilla almond milk (131 cals) and I finished off with a bag of yogurt pretzels from the thinsations brand of snacks (100 cals)

    Total cals: 938.

It's low...really low! But I'm not hungry! What should I do? Be pleased with the low calories and go on with my 24 hour fast tomorrow?

I should note that I cheated yesterday - pizza (2 slices) a handful of chips and 2 beer. I had only eaten 200 cals prior to the party where I ate this stuff so I'm sure I still made it to maintenance, but way too much salt and fat. I paid with bloating all day today.
  • IMHO, if you aren't hungry, don't eat. Even if it's a 900 calorie day! I wish I could have that problem more often.

I don't think it's bad for the body to have intermittent low calorie days.
  • It's a nice problem- take advantage of it! Don't worry about one day, you'll be fine.
  • Everything always says a woman shouldn't go below 1200 cals. I'm not sure if that's true. sometimes I just happen to have 800 or 900 cals and I'm just fine. I think if your 900 calories was mcdonald's, then you'll pick up that sodium gain tomorrow (not real weight gain). In the future if you are that low and haven't had some kind of fast food, maybe have a glass of milk to healthfully up your cals for the day
