Blue Team 2012 Spring Into Summer Exercise Thread Week 5 (05/28-06/03)

  • For an effective weight loss program it is important to incorporate exercise as well as making better dietary choices. While any kind of exercise is good for you, it has been proven many times over that just cardio or just strength training isn't the way to go...you need to have a combination of both, with a little bit of core focus as well. So as you plan out and track your exercise this week, be sure to get in 2-3 strength workouts and 2-3 cardio sessions. And don't forget about those abs!   • Monday-up/down stairs 5x, on my feet most of the day
    Tuesday-30 min. of basketball with the kids, I made some baskets!
    Wednesday-4 hrs of yard work-I'm whipped!
    Thursday-Another 2 hours in the yard, at least it's looking pretty out there!
    Friday-4 mile bike ride-walked on the island most of the day (10am-6pm)

  • Monday- C25K (W3D3 and W4D1) on treadmill for 65 minutes; Stair Stepper for 65 minutes
    Tuesday- Walked on treadmill at an incline at 3.5 for 15 minutes; Fitness Classes- Cycle (60 minutes); Yoga (60 minutes); Zumba (60 minutes)
    Wednesday- Treadmill for 20 minutes; Walked dogs with husband for 30 minutes; Fitness Classes- Step/Strength (60 minutes); Bootcamp (60 minutes); Zumba (60 minutes)
    Thursday- Treadmill for 25 minutes; Fitness Classes- Cycle/Strength (60 minutes); Yoga (60 minutes); Kickboxing (60 minutes)
    Friday- Treadmill for 10 minutes; Fitness Class- Zumba (60 minutes)
