  • And Im really kidding when I say "owner" LOL

My boyfriend of 1 1/2 years proposed to me this weekend. I'm definitely not rushing this time as a divorcee so I'm thinking about sometime in 2013. I thought 11-12-13 would be a cool day to get married, but its a weekday - still possible, but I kinda want all the bells and whistles of a "real" wedding.

No idea where to start, but we have time

I do know that I want a black or red wedding dress - unconventional dress yet a pretty traditional set up....if that makes sense.
  • CONGRATS!!!!! yaaaaayyyyyyy sooo happy for you!!!!

btw, I totally say I'm the owner of my fiance too lol

He took me out to dinner on Saturday for my birthday and had the ring in his pocket with every intention of asking me at the restaurant. Well, he chickened out and decided we would walk outside before we left (the back of the restaurant has this relly nice patio with a creek/bridge. We walked out and he chickened out then too because two ladies happened to come out right behind us. So we head home, walk in the door and he was like "I lied to you when I said I didn't get you anything" and he pulled the little box out of his pocket, looked at me and said "here"

I was thinking "um, wtf, what does this mean? here?"

Then he said "will you marry me"

Long story short, we need to get the ring sized and I demanded in a very nice way (LOL) that he re-ask me with a little more romance.

Its funny because after the fact when I talked to his sister and mom, he had every detail planned out and just totally wussed out when it came down to it. So I'm graciously offering him a redo LOL.
  • Congratulations! Aww, that's a really sweet story too.
  • LOL!! That's such a cute story!!!! Poor guy!!!!! We don't seem to realize how stressful that moment must be for them!! "HERE!" ahahahahahhaa but at least you're giving him the option to do it over. No chickening out this time. lol Adorable! congrats again!! ps. I vote red dress too!!
  • Congratulations!
  • How wonderful!
  • Well, that's one way to say "sorry for eating your sandwich."
