I found out some really bad news today and I was tempted to go out and eat something sweet and I didn't. Major hurdle.

Sorry to hear about your bad news. But awesome to hear you didn't binge, well done you! As you say, major hurdle, now you've done it once, you've the belief you can do it again and again. Whoop!
