  • If I'm being honest my heart just isn't in it lately. Making goals that never come to fruition is getting old!
But I realize that this is just a down time, and has been for a few months now. One of many on this roller coaster journey. So I'm going to force myself to hang in there one more month on this board and see how I feel in June.
My goals for May are to complete this detox program. I'm on day 6 of 30 and have been 95% on plan.
I should start getting calls for interviews for my first assignment towards the end of this month and with any luck will find out where I'm going by mid-June.
  • Not sure why this hasn't been stickied but thought I should write something to get it closer to the top.
Detox is on hold for now. I may or may not restart it. Not sure.
No interviews yet, hopefully in the next two weeks. Fingers crossed!
  • hey gang! Sorry i am late but its been real hard to get on the computer because i slept all day and work all night. On my days off I am so tired and trying to get stuff done here like the cleaning etc....

Thanks for starting this thread even though you are discouraged. I hope you stick around. What type of detox are you on?

How is the new job? Still going back to school in the Fall? Working nights is tough. I did it years ago but do not think I could anymore. What do you do all night at Walmart? What are you making your DH for his birthday dinner?

Can you tell I am chatty. My DH is working hard landscaping all day and then just eats and bed when he gets home. sigh But we need the money.

    Goals
*To go to the pool at least twice per week.
    *To keep tracking my food.
*To go to physio twice per week.
    *To stay within my points.
  • I want to increase my goal to 3 x per week for the pool starting next week. So will check in here for accountability.

    So quiet here.
  • Plucky,
Every night that I work I am stocking putting product out for the customer). In some places it gets very montanous and other departments its great to see what the customers are buying. But don't get me wrong there are some things i dislike about my job like the busy bodies. Some nights its goes really fast and some nights it feels like the night is dragging.

On another note I lost a pet Tuesday morning. My poor bunny fufu went to the great grassy knoll in the sky.I have not being dealing with that to well.A piece of my heart seems to be missing now. I know that time will heal it but its not easy being in the bedroom and not seeing him hop around his cage or giving bunny kisses.

On my weightloss I got down to a 2x shirt now.I am proud of that but I am still avoiding the scale.

Congrats on wearing a smaller size.
Sorry to hear about the loss of your pet. I know how difficult that can be.
I like the idea of stocking shelves when all is quiet. Better then being there when it is really busy.
  • Hey hey ladies!!!How is everyone doing? I am doing ok since I have had 3 days off in row. Hubby is having a birthday in about a week so I have to plan to make his dinner for the weekend. He wants fried chicken and i make fabolous fried chicken. I know its fattening but its what he wants so I try to indulge for him on his birthday.

  • Hey everyone!
Life has gotten even crazy and I really didn't think that was possible. I am right there with you Goodnuff!
"Making goals that never come to fruition is getting old!"
I have not given up but I have been heading in the wrong direction. I really WANT to lose weight but obviously I have not made that a priority. I have been letting life rule me instead of me ruling my life. I have only been to the gym 2 times in the past 4 weeks! I have not tracked anything in at least a month and I am not getting in all my water. None of those are impossible to do yet I have not been able to make them happen. As you said, Goodnuff I know this is all part of the journey and I too will make my goal at some point. So nothing really positive to report but just wanted to drop by and say I am thinking about you all. I have not given up and I will be around.
Goodnuff: hope you are hanging in there too.
Lynnie: So glad you are doing wel at your job. All jobs have their ups and downs but it is nice to have a job!
Pluckypear: Are you making it to the pool 3 times a week?
I hope you are all doing well. Make a good choice today...even if it is just one!
  • I'm hanging in there. Life is busy. My RA wasn't behaving and I gained almost 10 pounds overnight when I woke up with extreme swelling one day. Even when i know it's not 'real' weight it still has a way of getting me down. I lost most of it after being on prednisone for a week and am back to fitting into my clothes comfortably.
I'm not going to get any less busy with the traveling approaching quickly and am not feeling much like posting or blogging and am past pushing myself to do things that hold no fun for me. But...I have grown so fond of all of you that I still check in here every week to see what's new.
I hope everyone hangs in there and never gives up. I have changed direction but believe me when I say, I have not given up.
