Another question about armpit fat

  • Since losing weight, my armpits are sunk in quite a bit. One is even more so than the other. I cannot be the only person on this planet with this issue. It doesn't look funny, but I am really having a hard time shaving properly. So far, the best way I have found to handle this problem is to shave and then follow up with DH's electric razor. All the regular razors seem too wide/big to get into that area. Any other suggestions?
  • You know, I've always had the problem of not being able to get into my armpit to properly shave, and I just realized that they DO make little bikini area razors that would probably also be perfect for shaving the armpit. Maybe try those? I might try them myself!

Here's an example of what I'm talking about:

  • Haha, that sounds funky. I can't even imagine it, my armpit 'sticks out' when I raise my arm. Feels like the skin is pushed out by muscle though, not fat. Really don't have much more fat on my upperbody. So I guess armpits are different for everyone. Who would have thought. hahaha.
  • I know EXACTLY what you're talking about! I sorta pull the skin over one way then the other. I think even with a smaller razor I'd have a problem - I can't see the bottom of the pit. (I'm sitting here holding my arm in different positions as I look at my armpit)
  • Hahaha me too! The best position is to bend your arm and put your elbow as far up & back as you can, then it sticks out like philana's
  • I have tried putting my arm in different positions, but that doesn't seem to help. Sometimes it just sinks in farther. I think I will try those bikini razors. Thanks for the suggestion.
  • LOL yeah... it's a pain!

I've found that if I put my arm straight up next to my head, and bend it at the elbow over toward my head I can get it to not dip in as much.....

It's weird, isn't it? Losing weight as it's own weird set of problems haha!
  • I bought the Noxema Bikini razors to try. These did not work well for me. Although, they are worth a try since everyone is different. (I appreciate the suggestion) I paid less than $2 for the package. I think the best thing, so far, is my regular Venus razor. I shave very slowly and really press the razor into the pit. I haven't cut myself yet. But if I do, I swear I will be removing a big chunk! (I guess that will make my dilemma worse! ) I just wanted to update my findings.
