My name is Louise and I am from Australia. I'm a little unsure about how this all works, so bear with me if I make a mistake lol.
I have PCOS and Insulin Resistance, as well as a host of other medical problems, and about the only diet I feel good on that seems to work is a lo-carb one. Unfortunately, most are too strict so the willpower wanes. SB seems to be the best as far as being able to stick to it. I hope to get back on track, get healthy, and shed some weight (I am close to 100 kilos... I don't know how many pounds that is). If nothing else, I will feel better about myself. DH and I have been trying to have a baby for just on three years, and sometimes things get me down, as strong as I try to be. I figure if I look better, I'll feel better. Like I said, at least I'll be healthier.
Hope to learn some things and meet people in the same boat.

Hey! Welcome! I know what you mean by restrictive. I was trying to do the Atkins thing but nosedived real fast. I'm just trying to cut down on my sugar and eat healthier. *sigh* Seems like I got a million pounds or kilos or whatever to go.
