this is the wierdest sensation....

  • today, i realized that i'd been feeling a wierd sensation for the past couple days - i can actually feel my thighs rubbing! and i mean from hip crease down to knee - it's so ... wierd.

it's a horrifying mental image to think that up to now, my legs have been so big that basically the muscle and bones were moving back and forth in two giant skin bags that were just pressed together - rather like the skirts in CGI barbie movies that look like they're made of rubber, not fabric....

i'm quite excited to weigh in this week. if i'm *really* lucky, i didn't lose any weight at all - i know for a fact i've lost size (2wks ago, my waist was 40 and now it's 39) but if i didn't lose weight, that means i lost fat and gained muscle and my workouts are paying off!
  • the progress your making is pretty awesome its definitely a good thing your legs rub now...but you will most definitely be ready for them to stop by the time they do! I'm always wearing through jeans and having to patch them where my legs rub and wear out the material. keep up the hard work..sounds like its paying off!!
  • thank you, =D

yeah - i haven't had that problem in a very long time, now that i think about it.

not looking forward to it bec they always seem to split at precisely the maximum-humiliation point.

They definitely have a way of doing that lol. Happened to me one time when I was out with my parents shopping. I got out of the car and rip! I obviously had no spare pants so I had to go shopping really quick and try to find a way to hide the rip until I found a pair to buy. Not fun lol
  • that's why i like layering clothing - very quick and easy to tie a sweater around the hips, lol.
  • definitely! i'm pretty sure that was my tactic for hiding the rip while shopping lol. i think it was my moms jacket I used. very lucky we happened to have it in the car
  • I hate the worn out inner thighs when the rest of the pants look fairly new. I've also only just realized that didn't happen to any of my size 4 pants (before my last pregnancy 5+ years ago). They lasted so much longer. Something else to look forward too I guess.
  • The way I'm built Im not entirely sure I'll ever not having rubbing thighs, but I really hope they go away because it would be so nice to not have to have funerals for my favorite jeans lol
  • I have HUGE thighs and they stopped rubbing about 5 lbs ago. You'll get there!

I remember that skinbag feeling you describe... and the feeling of them rubbing, too!!

You are doing such an awesome job. Keep it up!
  • I hope my stop by the time I'm around 170! That's not too terribly far away!
  • That is so awesome! My thighs have Always rubbed since I can remember! I can't wait until I can say they finally have "split" up! What have you been doing to help get rid of that?
  • My thighs are massive and they will never ever stop rubbing together, lol. I wish so much that they would! The new weird sensation I've been having lately though is that my knees hurt each other (if that makes sense) when I lay on my side in bed. I have to put one in the crook of the other of the other to make it comfortable.

Whatever the changes though, they're good! It means SOMEthing is happening, and in the right direction!
  • Duct tape. Seriously wore jeans patched there with tape to high school.

Your comment was hilarious, made my day! Although I'm sure it wasn't very pleasant at that time. I don't really have a problem with my thighs, most of my fat goes around my middle area and on my arms, but I'd still like to lose maybe 2-3 inches.
  • Congrats!!

My thighs used to be like that. I wore out so many pairs of jeans that I started buying extra pairs of the same ones. I think my thighs were around 30"+ each.

Now I have 20" thighs and they rub together a little bit. Don't think I'll ever get small enough to end that, but at least I don't wear out jeans anymore And I can wear skirts! Yes!
