Easter was a Success!!!!!

  • Made it through without dessert and overeating! I wasn't too worried but once i saw the food I made sure i was strict! Kept telling myself it wasn't worth it on Monday!!! I did enjoy 2 small glasses (and accounted for) wine instead of having dessert! Tracked every crumb and still have ALOT of weeklies left!

This is hard for me so i'm glad i didn't over indulge. Also helped that my leader focused on this very topic on Saturday

    How did you do?
  • Way to go!!!!!!! I was alittle afraid myself with the easter baskets and all the chocolate but I made the orange dream cake and it was wonderful!!! I was able to have dessert and my family loved it too. I did not tell them it was a WW cake until after they had eaten it. And when my family was eating the chocolate I went for a walk, the weather was great here on Sunday. My walk was great and I enjoyed it so much. And by the time I got back they were all finished eating and we had a wonderful time together.

    Keep up the good work!!!!!!!
  • Congrats! Holidays are always tricky. I went out to a restaurant with my family and ordered a cup of tomato soup and super yummy salad. I did have a few pieces of the bread they brought us, but I tracked everything and only had water. My mom and dad ordered a piece of carrot cake to share and I had one small bite and that was it.

After, we went across the street to a local chocolate shop because I just wanted to see. But after looking at the nutrition info I decided it wasn't worth it, which was okay because I had some more WW-friendly stuff back home
  • Way to go Tudor Rose!!! You should be very proud of yourself!!!!!
  • Great work! Feels great to have still enjoyed the day without bad food! My mother's absolute favorite dessert is her recipe for a homemade chocolate cake which i ended up offering to make. Didn't even phase me I finally feel in control once again! Hoping to get back to my exercise tonight!
  • We don't really celebrate Easter so there weren't any more temptations than there usually are having two kids and a husband that don't have to watch what they eat.

The kids did the whole egg hunt thing at school Thursday but as my daughter is 18 months they got mostly toys and little candy. My son got all the candy I don't like as there's a child with peanut allergies, hence no Reese's, Snickers and other yummy varieties. I'm definitely not tempted by Sprees, Smarties and Lemon heads.
  • ^^Me either! I want the chocolate! My bf's daugher has braces so she got clothes so that was easy, no candy! I also lost 1.2 lbs. Sat at my weigh in so i think that was a big push to stay on track
  • Congrats! I had a bit of a planned cheat in that I made ribs and baked potatoes. BUT I was quite proud of myself that I didn't give myself permission to throw the whole day away and just eat like crap all day. That's a personal victory for me. Usually I'm either "on" or "off" but this time I was able to just accept that I was having a bit of an indulgence and that didn't mean I should just binge the day away.
  • Great job! Holidays can definitely be very difficult but you made it past this one!
  • Congrats! What a successful holiday weekend! You should be very proud of yourself!

This year was a tough one for me, though I did manage to make it through alive! I had not only my family dinner to conquer, but my inlaws as well. Very tough to not over indulge but still eat as to not upset anyone. Which is especially true for my husband's family, in which his sister is a chef and gets very emotional when people don't eat her food. So I did have to use some of my weeklies...but that's okay because I planned for it.
  • Good for you! I made it through with 38 weeklies left, but I still feel like I ate too much. Its probably because it was more than I've been eating in the last few months, but not nearly as much as I used to. Hopefully I come out unscathed! Good job everyone!
