Well like the title says I had high hopes for the Mirena.
I had it inserted two days ago and the same day when I got back home later in the afternoon I felt a sharp cramp and pain with lots of blood. The on call nurse said to go to the ER, so I went right away.
They did an ultrasound and found that I had expelled the Mirena and it was on the lower part of my cervix stuck! So I had to have it painfully removed the doctor was gentle but still ouch!
Well I can't have another since my body rejected it. In fact the Gynecologist had a hard time putting it in, that should have been a sign.
So now I'm off to see the Endometrial Specialist in Advanced Surgery to most likely get a hysterectomy.
Has anybody gone through this? I mean tried everything and saw an Endometrial specialist?
Any questions I should ask?
