Should I even bother weighing myself this week? /:

  • So, up until this month, I've not had a normal TOM. But I've been on the Pill this month to fix that. I know that when you hit your time, your body retains water, causing weight gain. So..should I even weigh myself this week? And can I take off what I'm supposedly gonna gain?
  • Everyone is different - I personally do not retain water or gain during TOM, and I am on the pill as well. I say weigh in but take it with a grain of salt just in case.
  • Same here -- no water retention during TOM. I suggest you weigh yourself every week, whether or not it's your TOM, in order to gain information about your own body and patterns.

  • Just go ahead and weigh in and remember that if you see a fluctuation it isn't permanent. It happens. Don't get discouraged.
  • I'd go ahead and weigh. It'll give you a better understanding of your bodies fluctuations so you won't panic when you see a gain
